BGS SiteTools Data Viewing and Utility Software

BGS SiteTools; is basically a stand-alone software developed to make cut and fill volume calculations for highway/railway constructions, open mine and stocking works.

As a stand-alone software, BGS SiteTools utilizes the necessary conversion for evaluating data from commonly used sources in a variety of formats. Types of data that BGS SiteTools can utilize includes the Reality Model and related formats.

In addition, the user interface of the software has the necessary tools to view and edit the most common commercial or open source graphical (GIS, CAD, etc.) data, including the data used and generated by itself.

BGS SiteTools allows viewing/visualizing and editing graphic files created with name-brand software. Mainly Helps deal with problems and pain-points that the big, name-brand software areunable to address.

Capabilities

  • Allow opening (at a limited scale), viewing, converting, saving, and managing GIS files, in groups or individually, in all formats listed below:
ADF, BIL, BMP, BT, CADRG, CVS, DBF, DEM, DGN, DTED, DWG, DXF, E00, ECW, FLT, FME, GDAL, GDF, GDI, GIF, GML, GPX, GRD, GSHHS , IMG, JPEG, JSON, KML, MIF, PixelStore (Raw, SQL, DBX, AdoNet, Sqlite), MrSID, OGR, OSM, PNG, S57, SDTS, SHP, SVG, TAB, WFS, WMS, XML.
  • Reality Model to Triangulated Surface Model Conversion
  • Road/Railway Applications; Utilizing Multiple Triangulated Surfaces, Project Border and/or Cross-Section Definitions, allows:
  • 1- Cross-Section/Profile and related CAD Drawing and Cut/Fill Volume Calculation Report File production convenient to Local Regulations
2- Utilizing 3 Surfaces of the same Region, Section by Section Project Progress/Status Report production
3- Utilizing two 3D Surfaces and a Project Border, 2D Surface Difference Map and Cut/Fill Volume Calculation Report production (This method is more accurate according to cross section approach)
  • Excavation (Open Mine/Construction) Applications; Utilizing Multiple Triangulated Surfaces, Project Border and/or Cross-Section Definitions, allows:
    – Cross-Section and related CAD Drawing and Cut/Fill Volume Calculation Report File production
    convenient to Local Regulations
    – Utilizing two 3D Surfaces and a Project Border, 2D Surface Difference Map and Cut/Fill Volume Calculation Report production (This method is more accurate according to cross section approach)
